About Nancy
Nancy E. Miller has been an attorney in California since 2015, focusing
on Employment Law and Estate Planning. Nancy's abilities and skills as
an attorney are enhanced by her education and many years of prior
experience as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), a Certified
Payroll Provider (CPP), and a state-certified educator.
After graduating in 1991 with her Bachelor of Arts in French, Nancy
spent several years teaching elementary school in Northern California
and Oregon. In 1996, Nancy began her second career in Human
Resources and Payroll when she was hired at Paychex, Inc. Even
though she was also a busy single mom during her 14-year course of
employment at Paychex in Sacramento, California, and Denver,
Colorado, Nancy earned her Master of Science in Human Resources
in 2009.
Nancy's third career began shortly thereafter when Nancy was
accepted as a part-time law student at Concord Law School while
concurrently working full-time as a Legal Assistant and Human Resources Manager at the Martensen Wright PC law firm in Sacramento, California. In 2015, Nancy and her son graduated within months of each other, Nancy from law school and her son from high school. Nancy then passed the California Bar Exam and began working as an attorney at Martensen Wright.
After focusing on Employment Law and Estate Planning at Martensen Wright for four years, Nancy opened her own law firm in June 2019. Nancy's passion in law is to educate small businesses and individuals about their rights and responsibilities in both the private and public employment sector as well as to help homeowners and families prepare for end-of-life situations through responsible estate planning.
Nancy also provides services in the areas of Landlord-Tenant law and the establishment of business entities such as Corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLCs).
